Nick Kalinin to fight at the final stage of the World Championship in Qatar
The 20-year-old from Odessa will fight at the unique stage of the world championship under the artificial lights.

On October 26th, on the Losail International Circuit in Qatar, during the World Superbike weekend, the final stage of the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship will take place with the participation of 20-year-old Ukrainian rider Nick Kalinin. In the 2019 season, more than 50 pilots fought every weekend on the track, but only 29 riders received the chance to compete at Losail, and only the top 20 received support from the organizers of the championship. The Ukrainian will become the only pilot of his Nutec – RT Motorsport by SKM - Kawasaki team at the Qatar stage.

Nick Kalinin, despite the difficult season, is one of the top ten riders of the planet in his category and was selected without any problems to fight at a unique stage of the championship. Unlike other rounds, training and races at Losail International Circuit will take place in the evening under artificial lighting. In addition, the World Championship of the Supersport 300 category had never previously been held in Qatar, and its pilots had not trained on the track in Losail.

Nick Kalinin #22: “I am very glad that I will perform in Qatar. I am excited, but this is only due to the fact that I already want to be on the track as soon as possible. Since childhood, my dad and I worked hard to quickly adapt to new tracks; although, of course, Losail cannot be compared with any track I have been on before. Let's see how things will be with the lighting and in general on the track this weekend. On Wednesday, we will have the opportunity to have a track walk, this will be my first familiarization with Losail.
In any case, everyone is in the same conditions, and the leader will be the one who quickly understands the track and finds the lines. We will work hard, try and take risks!”

The first training session of the World Championship in Qatar will be held on Thursday, October 24th.
